Koskinen is the worst goaltender the Sabres could bother to trade for. He also has a terrible contract. If you’re not getting Columbus‘s first round pick in return for Reinhart you don’t bother trading him there.

Koskinen might bounceback and we are not going to get a 5th overall pick for Reinhart

Conventional wisdom around here says that Vancouver would be willing to give us the eighth overall pick for him, so why shouldn’t Columbus beat their offer? I think a top 10 first round pick should absolutely be in the conversation.

Korpisalo didn’t exactly have a great season last year, you can get him for one of those extra third round picks we have. Foudy is an energy line third line caliber player, and Tampa’s first round pick is about to be the last pick of the first round. This offer is less than impressive.

VAN might entertain giving up the 9th OA in a deal for Reinhart, but it would also likely need to include a cap dump going back to the Sabres.

Its an offer, I would pass. Here's why- we don't need to be trading first line forwards for a goalie, this should be a buyers market for goalies, and korpisalo has had 2 of his last 3 years under .900. The first is as late as can be in a very weak draft. So unless you are a huge foudy fan, chances are we move him at the deadline and get a late first in a better draft, plus a small piece i would bet.

Thankfully most of Vancouver’s cap dumps are players with single year contracts. If we had to take on Roussel or Beagle for the season they would at least be decent fourth line players, then they would be gone at the end of the year.
