Before a bunch of people come in and tell you why this won't happen (ugh), this is very interesting and creative. Love the Couturier angle and it's a fair deal, and if Fleury can stay young at that age like Roy did and Hamilton can benefit from Muzzin then this is a deadly team.

The Flyers are NOT giving up their 28 year old 1st line centre for THAT package. Even if they aren't extending Couturier they'd get a better offer for him than this at trade deadline.

The ARI and VGK trades aren't even close to being considered.

I just don't see why Vegas considers this? Nothing against Rielly, because he's better than a lot of people are giving him credit for, but to take essentially take on salary and also give up a young regular and a pick seems like a poor decision for a cap-strapped team.

Vegas isn't giving up the reigning Vezina Trophy winner, their top prospect, and a 1st Round Pick for Morgan Reilly.

And Arizona isn't giving up Connor Garland for depth winger & a RD that's still (best case) multiple years away from being close to the NHL.

See? Lots of negativity, and yet trades with real GMs happen all the time where we wonder "Why would they ever do that?".

I dont think the Arizona trade is that far off. You would have to replace Mikheyev with something else. What do you think a fair trade would be, included in the trade is Topi Niemela.

Also what do you think a fair trade for the senators would be involving Garland and former leaf Connor Brown

Lots of creativity behind this, I'd be sad to see Sandin go but its cool. The ONLY negative I have is that Vegas is more likely to get rid of Lehner than their Vezina winner.

Right! The site is full of toxic people who look at reality and not creativity.

I think you're not looking at the long term perspective. Rielly is going to be a Team Canada defender, and Vegas is presumably getting him and extending him for 6-8 years. They're getting a massive long term asset. The Leafs are getting 1 year of a veteran goalie, a prospect and a 2nd round pick. Glass has yet to become a regular. My concern would be Fleury not accepting Toronto.

I also think Garland is just one of those players who will be scooped like this. His team undervalues him, he is very small, etc.

Thanks for the feedback

Frankly, I think the Leafs lose the Vegas deal. You might be right about Arizona, but I just think that's a player that is very undervalued and also not going to command a market because of his size and pending contract.

Couturier will be 29 at the start of the season and the Flyers have said everyone is available. Kerfoot is a good roster player, Sandin is a high-end prospect, and they get a 1st. That's more than OTT got for Stone.

Yeah Vegas doesn’t need Reilly. They definitely aren’t retaining on Fleury, and then giving a first. Put this one under 0% chance
