I’d be interested to see what Nashville fans say about the Nino trade. It’s interesting for sure, probably don’t need the retention in there.

Paying Petr more than Ned is pretty unlikely, my guess is you see the Canes move to a more traditional backup goalie situation at a lower price point, especially if they re sign Dougie.

Also think it’s pretty unlikely that Foegele returns. Maybe he has to be included in the Gardiner trade.

I only thought because it was a short season and Ned's rookie year he wouldn't get a huge pay raise immediately because goalies can go form having a really goo year to a bad year.

Not a fan of that Sissons trade. I get why you’re doing it but doesn’t really address top 6 or even middle 6 scoring winger gap that they need to fill for.

I thought the Canes might want to start the season with jarvis (who I really liked during the 2020 draft as a Sens fan) in their top 6

He’s probably a long shot to make the lineup let alone the top 6. I’d love to see him make the leap but he’s probably at least a year away. Also Troch is the 2C, not Staal. Think they need to address top 6 wing via FA or trade and if anything start Jarvis on third line with Staal and Nino
