It'd have to be somewhere other than Detroit.

Oh, and you'd better be prepared to pay for them to be taken off your hands.

Sharks decline that. Not enough value there

Hendrix lapierre is a elite prospect, he’s projected to be a 1st line center in his prime. I would be f* pissed if caps traded him. So I think caps is the one who would decline. Lapierre, Mcmichael, Alexeyev and Fehervary are untouchable prospects

I tried to use the Pacioretty trade as a baseline for this. Lapierre's injury history probably puts him a bit behind where Suzuki was in value at the time, and a young potential starter like Vanecek holds a good chunk more value than Tatar did. Plus the draft pick.

I like Lapierre a lot, but there are still a few holes in his game that I'd say stop him from becoming an "elite" prospect. He certainly has the ceiling of one, but there's some injury risk and a bit of a longer timeline than the guys typically considered elite prospects.

    1. It literally says "to wherever for whatever" so it does not matter if it's Detroit or not.
    2. They're both solid players that aren't overpaid, so it's not like we'd have to pay someone to take them. Especially teams that lose a defenseman in expansion would love to buy low on one of these guys.
