Chicago wants cap space to sign Seth Jones, frees up 8+mil for them and Oilers get Strome as the cost for no retained salary by the Blackhawks. Strome doesn't have a place on the Hawks with Toews, Dach and Suter being capable centers. Chicago might want Caleb in their quest for Seth.
Rangers have Shestyerkin and will lose Georgiev for nothing in Expansion but can leave Koskinen exposed and maybe he gets picked or they roll with him as the second goalie to not overwork Shestyerkin. Also a team noted for wanting "grit" ie Kassian
Arizona needs picks to rebuild and might not want to pay Garland much right now when they don't know where they're at especially going into a harder division this year.
Stalock just goes anywhere he can as a "sorry for all your troubles but we have no intention of playing you, maybe this other team will"
All completely hypothetical but I did have thorough scenarios envisioned
