The jets could certainly get more for pionk if they wanted to move him

1st and a prospect minimum

The Jets need more good defencemen, not a slight upgrade one of them without fixing the rest of it

I would rather keep pionk, and gamble and buy low on somebody, rather than spend to the limit on Hamilton and landeskog. I think the Jets have the skill covered, the need is more on the physical front. Need size added to top 6 and top 4 especially if the plan is to use pionk/morrissey/heinola. The other 3 need to be large and angry and can keep up. Like stanley for 1 possibly samberg. But there’s a definite need for a sergachev/parlyko type. I’m intrigued by Schmidt and dumba being on the market, but neither probably a perfect fit. Jets need some more physically gifted players in there forward group to compete with the teams in the final four the last few years.
