MIN probably declines, although your value isn't too bad. Greenway is someone that I'd like us to deal, but my hope is that he's part of a larger package for a C coming back. I will say, though, you are in for a very bad time if you play him on either of those top 2 lines. Old stone hands would be whiffing on gimmes left and right playing with that level of skill.

This is precisely the kind of move Vancouver needs to do. A young d man on a cheap contract.

As for MIN, I do that all day.

Wild say no very easily. Timothy l has mo value to wild who has no need, or room for d; much less one who hasn't developed enough in years since being drafted to play on Toronto's bad score

3rd round pick is meaningless

Expansion exempt assets for clearing 2 mil in salary. Not to mention Liljegren would be great to have fighting with Addison.

Yeah I'm inclined to agree now that I think about it more. With Dumba potentially gone and Mennell unlikely to sign with us, this actually makes a good bit of sense for both sides.

He couldn't make an awful Toronto Dcore since being drafted. Greenway's value is way more than this.

I respectfully disagree..the fact he couldn't make an awful Toronto dcpre should be a major red flag

I hear ya, but he's also only 22. He may never live up to his 17th OA status, but that doesn't mean he can't still develop into a solid bottom pair guy. I think it's worth a consideration. How much can you reasonably expect to get for Greenway if he's the only piece going the other way?

why would a team trade a 3rd for a LHD when they have 3 LHD already.
I said Vancouver doesn't need him, so they decline

I think this is a fair offer for Greenway and I don’t disagree he could get more, and if there is an offer for more on the table BG should take it. I don’t see him as any more than a throw in on a trade for a C.

LHD can play the right side. Dermott would be a 4-6 guy on Vancouver and lord knows they need help.

Are you counting Juolevi? Rathbone?

Justin Holl would be a better fit for that 3rd though

I am.
Vancouver is not winning the cup, in fact they will struggle again to make the playoffs

At some point you need to play the kids [OJ, JR] and consistently to determine what you have.
Both OJ and JR showed they are capable of defending, zone exits and crisp first passes.
After next year, the Canucks have an abundance of money and coincidently there UFA defensemen market is big.
