Big problem with the DeBrusk for Greenway deal is the Wild can’t take that cap hit. If they move Fiala, a one for one swap might have legs.

No offense but Jake d is coming off 2 straight terrible years. Greenway has more value than him. Wild can get a way better Winger in free agency than Jake D who needs a change of scenery after being none existent all year, & clashed with Boston coach

Debrusk had 19 goals in 19-20 in 65 games, 20-21 5 in 41 while in the doghouse. Greenway had 8 in 19-20 and 6 in 20-21 in 15 more games than debrusk. I know he brings another element in being a big body but debrusk is not trash at all he just needs a change of scenery and greenway hasn’t seemed to find his place in the lineup with the wild either.

Also, free agency has numerous good young Wingers who are free agents that will cost alot less, & for wild not needing to trade Greenway for A player coming off a bad season.

Agreed. In fact it's too good. The Bruins are aging. Save the young assets and first rounder. That 3.75M the Bruins would spend on Ekholm for one year, just sign Ryan Murray who is three years younger for around the same amount per year for 3 years.
