Then you don't know all the facts

first Hall had a M-NTC which he had to waive to get traded
second the Sabres had a better offer from a western conference team which Hall wouldn't waive for
third Hall wanted to go to Boston and he got his way
fourth, Hall almost signed with Boston as a UFA but 8mil was hard to turn down and he still got his way in the end and his 8mil
