You're over valuing PIT's players in most of these.

Zero chance the Oilers give up a 1st, Holloway, AND Samorukov for Rust- regardless of any contract renewal. He's worth one of those assets + a mid-range pick at most.

The Blues quite obviously would want nothing to do with that trade. The last things they need are G prospects, LDs and retaining for someone else's trade.

That's one gigantic overpay on the Oilers part.... no way they give anything close to that for Rust.

That Oilers trade is the most lop sided I've ever seen on this site. Rust is a good player but not worth Holloway or a 1st.

Its what we gave up for Zucker and Rust is 150 times the player Zucker is.
Samurkov & 7th was for Ruhwedel

Oilers don't need a 31 year old AHL defenseman for a top 4 about 6 months out young D. That is a terrible idea and I am not sure Ruhwedel even makes our farm team to be honest with you. Oilers have a lot of D in the system, it is all we have been drafting. Ruhwedel might be worth a 7th or future considerations and thats it. Rust is a UFA and Holloway will be in our system as our number 1 prospect for 10 years

Holloway is not for sale and untouchable to the Oilers.

Just because the Pens made a bad trade for Zucker doesn't make that the standard for other trades. And I don't think you know enough about Samurkov if you think that's a trade worth making from the other side. He's close to NHL ready and had top 4 upside. His value is a low second to high third. Plus the Oilers have no need to trade him so it will take more than fair value to move him.
