Ducks still decline. Zegras is still unavailble, as is Drysdale. At this point, they're better off keeping them, and using 3OA themselves.

A rare triple play -- Anaheim isn't trading Trevor Zegras, Los Angeles isn't trading eighth overall for one year of Sam Reinhardt, and New Jersey ins't trading a first for one year of Rasmus Ristolainen.

Reinhart came with a 6 year extension. Of course any team trading for Reinhart will be relatively confident they can resign him if they didn't already have a deal in place. Perhaps the Ducks don't trade Zegras but if they are confident Eichel will be healthy it is a worthwhile price to pay for a player that is likely significantly better than Zegras will be or anyone picked at number 3 will be. If New Jersey feels they can be competitive this year with Hischier being healthy and Hughes hopefully becoming a productive top 6 player then they might take a chance on a player like Risto. If it works out and they are competitive, Risto would not have an issue resigning there, if it doesn't and NJ is towards the bottom of the league again they can flip him at the deadline for a late first to a contender like CBJ did with Savard

Risto isn't getting a 1st in return. Period. Definitely won't get a prospect on top of it as well.

I would have said that about Savard as well. Especially for only have of a season as opposed toa full year, but I digress
