Palat look what he does 5v5 throughout his career. Hasn't relied on pp for his points. He proved given the toi on the pp he can make it count. Also proved he can keep up with anyone the way he keeps up with Point and Kucherov

I think palat would be unreal with Mcdavid
I've also been saying Hoffman should go there, he doesn't drive play well. Which would work as mcdavid has the puck on his stick all the time, he would just have to get in position and shoot.

I think Palat, definitely.

Drouin could be an interesting piece too though.

Nuges play style didn’t work with Mcdavid, so keeping him as Drais winger is much more ideal.

I feel as though Hymans gonna be overpaid and I gave up on Coleman coming to Canada.

I think Debrusk would be a great fit for EDM. Problem is EDM is not a great fit for Boston as far as trade goes.

They discussed Debrusk/Bjork for Nurse/Chiasson before the season started. Fell through. Great for you guys as Nurse had his best season and Debrusk his worst by far.

There are 4 scenarios for Debrusk.

Keep him hope he rebounds.

Trade for a d man. A 2nd pair type. Dunn and Graves are popular options. You don’t fit that criteria. Nurse and Broberg would be the only 2 of interest and you are not moving them. No, don’t want Jones, Bear, Lagesson, Samorukov etc. a healthy Klefbom would be of interest. A doubt if he will play again Klefbonm is not.

Trade for a forward of similar value, preferably a RW or C. Only guy you have that fits that scenario is Puju…no thanks. He’ll just pout having to play 3rd line with a crappy center.

Trade for futures. Prospects/picks. Your cupboard is almost as barren as ours is, little of interest to us there. Holloway is off the table. Maybe Lavoie and a 2nd piece. The Arvidsson trade really hurt a Debrusk for picks move.

I think the best move for Boston is wait til after the X draft and deal with Seattle, they should have an excess of D and little O unless side deals are made. Or a team that was hurt by Seattle that lost a FW and has deep D corp.

Palat appears to be the best candidate, just curious now what a trade between the oilers and the cap strapped lightning looks like. In a trade it’s almost a necessity that palat comes with an extension, but that could be pretty pricey.

I’ve poked fun at Bruins fans not accepting any trades for Debrusk, but to be fair they’re basically all justified. As you’ve said it really doesn’t look like we have the right pieces available to bring him in reasonably.

Tatar is my guy as he can help take the possession burden off McD (especially as Pulju struggles at that) so connor can focus on offensive brilliance mostly

If you ask this question my answer would be:

The best left wing for the best center should be the best left wing in the league: Ovechkin!

Of these guys, Killorn, Palat or Saad would be best for McDavid. IMO.

Yeah it's odd to me how people aren't down on RNH after Just 30ish points beside off prime gretzky level McDavid all season on PP / most of season 5v5

Adjusting for that factor RNH had like 20 total points

With a regular primary linemate

There is a reason Palat not Killorn is with Point and Kucherov. Just saying.

Did you miss that he took a paycut? Or that his 82-game pace was still 55 points - the lowest of the past 4 years? I'd say his relatively poor season had an impact on that contract.

The mystery to me is why Tippett didn't play Nuge with Draisaitl much this year - Nuge was on a 77-point pace last year while with the big German. They, along with Yamamoto, had clear chemistry and were the best line in the league. People were talking about $7M+ for his next deal, darn good thing Holland waited until now to sign it.
