I guess some combo of the guys I think will be gone and our picks will be used to acquire another top 6 or top 9 center imo. We need the cap to go up really bad.

Also for something completely random, what would kravtsov cost from the islanders this offseason (21). Obvs you would keep buch then.

I’m not sure. Mainly cause I don’t see a young top 6 potential center that you guys have (not saying straight up). I honestly could see them making a deal with him as part to upgrade the center position, but purely from the pieces and needs of both team, I don’t really see a fit.

It ****ed everyone who was trying to compete.

I think either 23-24 or 24-25 we’ll get an increase because so many teams are at or will be at the salary cap ceiling or higher. We can’t have the majority of teams not playing cause they’re over the limit.

I know i was looking like what young centers do we have lol. But i was wondering in terms of value, what would it be.

Honestly contracts aside, a pelech-trouba pairing would be so ****in scary to play against.

That’d be a nice old school hockey pairing. Straight up nasty and hard nosed. It’d be a lot of fun to see. Honestly might try that in chel tomorrow. Could be great.

I feel like it’d be sort of like Kravtsov for Whalstrom. Both drafted in similar spots. Haven’t truly broken out yet. Both fan bases would hate it, but it seems fair to me when thinking rationally. Maybe picks to even out.

Call me crazy and this is a long shot and certainly nothing to do with a kravtsov deal but i could see ishakov being a late bloomer like mika and becoming a chytil type of player in terms of trajectory. Discussing islanders C prospects (or lack thereof) reminded me of him lol.

I gotcha. I feel like the biggest thing with Chytil is just consistency. If he was more consistent he’d be recognized as much better and his points would reflect it. I feel like people forget he’s only 21 though which is kind of crazy to think. It’s why I feel like being patient with this young core will pay off huge one day.

They would literally knock guys like barzy gaudreau arvidsson out of the league for good. I wonder if theres a stat on how many careers you ended but that pair would set the record and legally.

I fully expect him to become a solid 2C. But by the time that happens it might be too late unfortunately.

They’d definitely cause a great deal of pain and suffering. Plus they’re mobile and can skate which is huge. Defiant would be a pair to lookout for cause if not they prolly take you out.

Yeah I feel like that will probably happen. Same thing with Kakko. I see him as a Mark Stone type eventually. He plays a solid two way game and as he matures and his confidence grows, the scoring will pick up and he’ll be a force. It might be wishful thinking, but I can see it one day.

I really hope we send a big package to trade up and take Mason McTavish. I feel like he’s gonna be great.

I don't know much about McTavish- other than seeing his name mentioned a lot...If they do even keep the pick- and there is a player who they have done their diligence on who is available and they have the ability to move up to pick...then hey, why not? I just think that this is a tough year for that. Supposed to be a weak draft to begin with and I'm guessing that due to the pandemic the scouting for this draft was not up to the usual....and for this reason is it worth trading up? BTW 2022 supposed to be a great draft...any moves the Rangers make- if they could get more picks in that draft would probably be a good move.
