1 year at almost nothing is the only kind of contract he can get.
No one is signing him long term to any amount of money with his injury history. No one.
Where is he gonna play? He is not capable at C and with Boldy in, there is no roster spot on the wing. Does that mean we are losing a guy or would make Boldy play in the AHL for another year?

Any player gets injured, this man can take his spot. What if Boldy struggles? Rask gets dumped? Praise retires? You have a cheap forward who can PP and PK

I am not saying I am not happy. But I think i might project what Evason might be doing
There was a time where multiple people, including myself, thought Bjugstad would become a solid 2C. Those days are long behind him, but he's still a guy that you would love to have in your bottom six.

I remember sitting at Ridgedale mall on my birthday in 2014 eating an ice cream cone arguing with someone who was convinced we should give up the farm for him because when else could you pick up a 6'6" future 1C. Real glad that we never made that trade.

TBF in 2014 the farm for MN was more like 10 acres of swap land.
Bjugstad is one of those players I wonder about "what might have been" if he didn't have all the injuries.
