Eichel makes a ton of sense for OTT. They can give BUF whatever they need; they have so many desirable assets.

Buffalo's asking for 4 1st in value for Eichel. Shane Pinto is a early 2nd rounder that shouldve went in the 1st. Logan brown was a top 15 pick, Erik Branstrom is a 2017 1st round pick and 2021 1st is fair value especially with the risk Ottawa is taking with Jack Eichel's neck injury

First off, i don’t really see much reason to believe that four firsts report.
Second, that’s not four firsts. Do you know what four firsts is? It’s four firsts.
Bruins offer Senyshyn, zboril, ritchie, and debrusk. That’s four former firsts! Does that get it done? No, of course not. The second they’re drafted they turn into players, not picks.

This deal is a first, two disappointments, and a kid still in college.

OTT declines, i think Eichel will not be traded for what Buff wants for him until he proves he is 100% recovered from his injury. so either next off-season or at trade deadline.

I love how you're comparing actual draft busts to Logan Brown and Erik Branstrom.

Logan Brown Has been injured a lot which is why he hasn't made an NHL impact. He still has top 6 potential with his larger frame, solid skating and elite instincts.

Erik Branstrom is 21 yrs old. Its rare a 21 yr old d-man comes in a plays a top 4 role.

Lastly Shane Pinto is a monster. He's gonna be extremely good and to call him just college statement is terrible.

You're understanding of value is poor and you maker an assumptions based of little knowledge, Ask and Sens fan and they'll tell you Im not lying and half of them won't even make this trade.

I know who the players are. This is very bad value for eichel.

Yeah, aside from how sour he seems with the team, I tend to agree. Virtually impossible to make a move in season with that cap hit, but I’d say a not-so-bad bet would be next years draft. Either way, Buffalo is in a dangerous position right now.

Ottawa isn't going to waste 10m on Eichel when they have their star RFAs to be signed soon. In the short term the Sens, keep those three young assets and the picks, and spend some short term UFA.s, and be better for it long term, maybe even short term.

take out Pinto for Norris for starters
We don't need another small D as we have a ton of them
Brown is close to a bust, drafted 5 yrs ago 30 NHL gms

You obviously don’t know who they are if you’re referring to Pinto as “some kid in college”.

No.... he's not? Further proving the point that you don't actually know about the players you're putting down.

He played 12 games down the stretch for the Sens and picked up 7 points. Not only did he not look out of place but he was one of the better players on the team. Looked great on the pk and was already scoring takeaways. Won player of the year unanimously in the nchc along with the best defensive forward title and has already carried that straight into the NHL. So no, hes not in college. He's already in the league and making an impact.

Oh grow up. He was in college this year and had a cup of coffee in the pros afterwards. If i was up to date with every prospect to that extent and not getting paid for it, it would be very sad.

You’re telling me to grow up?? Like it’s my fault for correcting you after you said you knew all about the players in the deal.

Would you have said Cole Caufield is just “some kid in college” before the playoffs? He had 5 points in 10 games. Maybe because he won the Hobey Baker he wouldn’t qualify under that for you? Well Pinto was the runner up for that same award and had 2 more points in 2 more games in the NHL. Clearly not someone that should be dismissed so nonchalantly.

Don’t get pissy with me because you overstepped. A “sorry I didn’t know” would’ve worked just fine, even children should understand how to cede when they’re wrong. Grow up.

Some bad takes here

- "This is very bad value for eichel" : actually pretty good value and about what the Sabres should get

- "This deal is a first, two disappointments, and a kid still in college" : not just a 1st but a 10th OA pick, Brannstrom is far from a disappointment, Logan Brown is a pretty good prospect just seen negatively by some because of a lot of development time lost to injury. Shane Pinto is worth a lot, not just some "kid still in college"
