Tampa would deal Cirelli by himself and get a big return and worry about the rest later....

Only Vegas considers it.

Trouba has flat value at best, even with retention.
Tampa doesn’t bring Cirelli’s value down by including TJ, they just send TJ to Seattle with some assets attached.

It's only a 12-team no trade list.

Kevin Hayes netted a 1st and Brendan Lemieux, to give perspective on that Ryan Strome trade.

Doesn't make it easier to change my opinion with that statement?

I simply don't like Rielly. Trouba had a bounce back season and was a pleasure to watch. He isn't the Jets' Trouba yet but Rielly simply makes me scratch my head most of the games I watch in play.

Trouba is on one of the worst contracts in the NHL, while Rielly is one of the best OFDs in the league. The fact that the two are even being compared right now makes me scratch my head

We have Fox who is better offensively, and most of our D have an offensive side to them. We need D like Trouba who block a ton of shots, also everyone seems to think we need tough guys but losing trouba(who wasn’t at that game) hits a ton and would fight. I’m with Manhattan on this. The $ is 1-1.5M too high and mostly because Trouba lost his PP spot to Fox. Reilly will be demanding a raise if he has a bounce back season and we won’t be able to pay it. But adding him as a rental, sure. Not looking to trade and retain though

Leafs keep Reilly for a year. Then they have 6.5m to get a better Dman than Trouba. Besides Trouba's NMC and past history makes this trade impossible.....

Terrible trade with Vegas....Strome alone w/ no retainage should yield that NJ 2nd plus a 2022 pick (a 3rd??). Reaves is a net negative to this trade since for Vegas he represents a cap dump. Additionally, if he's the kind of player Drury is looking for then this franchise is going backwards. If the Rangers were to pick him up for a 13F or 14F role, I wouldn't give up beyond their 2021 5th for him.

If we didn’t have fox I’d almost have no issue with troubas contract with the way he played last season. He’s a bit overpaid but for the most part is way better than the first year. Reilly is offensive minded which is the exact opposite of what we need. We need big defensive defensemen for the 3rd pair to go along side nils.

Trouba's contract being discussed in comparison between the two proves my point. Rielly is bad defensively. His offense hasn't been elite in like 2 years. Same with Trouba.

Isn't it funny how Rielly's offensive production dried up as soon as Keefe arrived? Maybe, just maybe, the coach is holding him and a change of scenery could really help him out

The problem is, Trouba is not a defensive defenseman

In all honesty, same could be said for Trouba. Too much risk regardless. For NYR. Retention plus blocking our young LHD's. All for a body swap.
