Rangers can most definitely afford Komarov in a cap dump deal. Not to mention his cap hit is $1.875M on the Taxi Squad. Solid move for both sides

Ive thought about graves tbh but never thought the price would be worth it. Also dont know what seattle would want for him. Id rather try to get mccabe to play LD2. Also in this scenario id rather play salo/bolduc at LD3. Let them get time up here in some sheltered minutes with a very strong partner defensively to stop trotz from worrying too much. Happen to think mayfields the perfect guy to have to get those guys some nhl minutes.

I was looking at it as you guys might use him. Hes tough, not afraid to get in the corners, is a good pker, and can play all 3 spots. Not to mention officially hes a good dressing room guy. Feel like he would be a good fit for the big club.

I kind of agree there but I feel Drury can easily flip a pick that high in the Komarov deal to acquire a much better and safer option. Again, not a bought out. Just on the Taxi Squad as a reserve.

I agree but I had cap space left and I thought why not try?

Oilers won't spend a 1st on a 33 year old starting goalie, who arguably was good. Especially since the Islanders are sort of in cap trouble. Either they lower the asking price or they have to find another trade partner. But then again it's the Oilers so they probably do this. :'(

"Arguably was good" you just lost all credibility.

I just looked up his stats and agree. He was good! Really good even. .929 and .922 (playoffs) is really good. But I don't think EDM D is of the caliber of the Isls. Didn't mean to disrespect him. This still doesn't change my point. I wouldn't pay a 1st for him if I was Holland. Not with the FA options that are out there. Just my two cents.

Ok fair enough. Thing is a lot of edmonton fans on here said theyd pay a 1st for him.

I don't disagree. It wouldn't be a bad trade for sure.

Don’t think Buf would want Eberle, at all, much less to reduce a package for their #2 asset in reinhart. He’s an ok player, but slightly overpaid at this point. And has trade protection anyways I’d think. Deal just doesn’t make sense. Reinhart should be moved for futures, and not picks 2/3 years from now futures

The Reinhart trade makes no sense from the Sabres standpoint. Getting much older, giving up the better player for basically a late 2nd and late 3rd
