Eichel trade seems fair. Anyone that doesn’t is clearly a “Eichel rider.”

If Kings are trying to push for the playoffs, they should not move Big Mac. When playoff time comes, you need big defenseman. Kings don’t have any but Big Mac alone fills that role and scares other teams.

I don’t see Quick being moved. I think he’ll retire a King once his contract is up.

Turcotte is the right starter but if you think 8OA isn't included then I doubt there is a deal

More than fair. Possibly even an overpay depending on other offers. Would be a hard deal to beat unless Anaheim is willing to include Zegras.

I'd love seeing Eichel either in LAK or VGK. The Kings will be a team to look out for even without Eichel.

No, it isn’t a fair trade at all. The kings aren’t including one of their top 2 assets, byfield or 8oa. Eichel is returning a top prospect plus a top pick, to start.

I think, value aside, that the sabres front office is anxious to get extra top 10 picks in this draft. So you may be right that 8oa will be a sticking point for them. Not sure i love this approach. I suppose it depends on the value of the prospects you would be taking off the table to get 8oa. Btw, does lias andersson have any value? He doesnt, right? Are people still selling him as "former 7th overall pick lias andersson"?

If you think that you're getting a high 2021 pick, i.e., a trade before anyone knows how well Eichel has recovered from his injury, then you're going to get less in players.

Buffalo will get the best return for Eichel after he's played about half of the next season. Imagine trading these kinds of assets for him and then having him show up for training camp, being unable to play, eventually suiting up in January, playing half a season with difficulty, and then proving unable to play again. I admit that the chance of this Doomsday scenario is small, but a real GM has to follow the equivalent of the first principle of the Hippocratic Oath: First, don't screw things up.

My opinion is once the trade is in place and agreed upon Adams lets said team see medical charts...odds are they will agree with the Sabres and Eichel makes a miraculous recovery and starts the season on opening day. He accomplished what he set out to do, cause controversy and get himself traded. There was no reason on earth to go public with all that unless you had a underlying purpose.

I still think the Sabres get 3 pieces and a cap dump and I am hoping it's ANA he goes to ( Zegras and Drysdale aren't included). I think LA gets Rinehart. Rinehart is receiving a ton of attention according to the insiders but no one has ever said what the ask is for him.
