That could very well be the lowest scoring bottom six in the NHL. Four replacement level players, a rookie and a 38 year old 3C.

I understand what you are trying to do here but it is so misbalanced that wouldn't be worth it.

The management is doubling down on the Core Four so why not add a player like Hall to give them one more scoring option. With a top 6 that talented it would be very easy to adjust your lineup to have 3 balanced lines; Matthews doesn't really need to play with anyone and he's still gonna get 40. I would rather spend the money on a player like Taylor Hall to give Marner another finisher to feed.

I also don't think the Leafs problem was their bottom 6, it was the fact that it's so easy to shut down Marner when he only has Matthews to pass to.
