come on man we’re not giving a 1st + for that as well as take on over 6 mill in can space that doesn’t make sense for the Oilers

If the Hawks want the Oilers 1st they have to take on Neal in my opinion. Like that I'd be willing to do it.

Keith at ~3M becomes quite appealing to these old school guys tho and Strome is still roughly Clayton Keller lite despite his somewhat down year...

Idk

Sketchy draft too. It seems fine. Maybe not ideal.

I have a feeling Edmonton might be targeting a goalie with that first pick but if he’s off the board at the draft I’d consider that deal if willing to take Neal back to offset the cap hit. Oilers need to keep space set aside to address LW in a significant way it’s a bigger need than including strome.

Okey, I would love to hear your opinion why. I think that Hawks can't win a trade for Seth Jones, the team who gets him is going to overpay... And he is IMO very overrated.

Well, that's the difference right there. You think he's very overrated. I do not. I don't think he's a hart candidate...so please dont take it that way. I just think 2-way dmen are MUCH harder to find than offensively minded dmen. So a Morgan Rielly or Dougie Hamilton are significantly less interesting to me. They want BIG money for something that's more easily replaceable. Boqvist will be the Hawks offensively gifted dman.

As for winning a trade...that all depends too. He's been vocal about wanting to test free agency. He's also been vocal about CHI being a very interesting destination. CBJ knows they can't keep him AND Jones has a modified NTC...so he can't be sent to just any old team. I would imagine Strome going the other way. Maybe zadorov too if they want to retain some physicality. Maybe Vlasic too. He was a pretty early 2nd rounder. Big guy. he'd help that transition along faster than a pick. CBJ likely does NOT want a 4th 2021 1st. That's just a ton of picks for a draft that supposedly wasn't that great.
