A bit of an overpay for Compher. Not a cap dump but relief would likely motivate Colorado to move him for less.

Reinhart deal would likely need the Columbus 1st, not Toronto.

Carolina deal is a mess for Buffalo. No reason to do them a favor taking on Gardiner without a better return than that.

There isn’t a shot the jackets move the 5th pick for a player who can walk after a year after arbitration. This is already too much IMO. 2 firsts in a unknown draft where there will be steals to be had? A decent young nhl forward and a starting goalie which Columbus now needs to retain due to unforeseen and tragic events. Yeah this is a pass.

Anaheim can't take on Eichel without sending Henrique or Silfverberg back; the money doesn't work.
