As a whole, really interesting moves here.

As a Flyers fan, I personally think that you're getting fleeced in the 1 for 1, not because Patrick is a bust but because Risto is better right now and Patrick is making his slow recovery from injury and I'm not sure if he can jump right up to that first line.

I really like the Eichel trade you came up with, not sure if Sakic could or should do that, but I think its pretty realistic to what they would want for him. Same for Reinhart, I wonder if taking Quick would motivate them more to give up a Turcotte. Really intriguing.

I'm not sure why you traded Olofsson, not criticizing, just wondering if there is talk of him wanting out, or just a "hockey trade"? Also, would Vegas want Eakin back? If its just to represent him going anywhere then no worries!!

Overall, I really like it. Giving Skinner the chance to play top minutes again, as he did before and succeeded, is smart. A pick to take Miller, who has done well in expansions before, I could see working out.

One thing I've been dying to ask Sabres fans is, is Eichel really certainly gone? Since it seems a big chunk of it is about his proposed surgery vs. rehab, could they come to an agreement even if it means he is out this year? Just wonder how much is hardball negotiation by both in those regards.

You could get Newhook in an Eichel trade and probably Barron but no way in hell are you getting Newhook AND Byram. Besides the fact COL can’t fit Eichel in long term, is that they aren’t going to gut their ELC pipeline to add a luxury piece. Easy no from COL.

I dont agree that its an overpayment for Eichel but i probably agree that Buffalo wont get that much realistically.

Newhook, Timmons, Jost, 1st more realistic? Plus maybe Kadri for cap balance?

Vegas is just placeholder for any team that will take him lol, if no one will pay anything for him I would just bury him in the minors and let the final year of his deal run out

I suppose its possible that they could come to a compromise on treatment that could lead to him staying put but all signs seem to be pointing to him wanting out and the relationship being beyond repair, and if that’s true they need to move him before his NMC kicks in in my opinion.

As far as Olofsson, Im just not a huge fan. Hes got an incredible shot on the PP, but is largely invisible at 5v5, so if I could get a team to give me a piece like Dunn i would consider it for sure.
