Why do Panthers make this trade? Campbell's contract is up next year and Staal's goes on and on and on. Panther's will want cap space soon...maybe to sign Seabrook.

Panthers need a reliable veteran defenseman, and they are going to have to break the bank to get Seabrook, and just get in cap trouble. Staal is a top 4 guy with a reasonable contract.
