Johansen should be 1C -- he's got a big contract and underperformed recently, but he's still the best C on this team.

The Blues would much rather they take Sanford then Dunn so they wouldn't do that. Give you a 4th to not take Dunn...

Well i had Tarasenko exposed as well so if you would like i could make it a 4th to take Dunn instead of Tarasenko, although i don't think Tarasenko would be too appealing to Seattle due to his injury concerns

Acquiring such a high caliber player for an expansion team is pretty special tho, regardless of issues, super good way to get new fans interested etc.

Right now the Blues will protect:
ROR, Schenn, Tarasenko, Kyrou, Thomas, Perron, and probably Sundqvist

Parayko and then 2 of 3 Faulk, Krug, and Dunn. Might possibly expose Krug rather than lose Dunn for nothing if don’t trade him.

Not sure who else you are protecting but it doesn’t add up…

To my knowledge kase's QO is exactly 2.6 due to injuries and Dunn probably gets much closer to 4 from arbitration- similar to Zadorov recently

I know about Kase, but he barely played this year, i think he takes less on a "prove it" type contract. In terms of Dunn, i could give close to 4 if it comes to arbitration

I just looked Back at my list and Sanford was protected, so the 4th would be to protect Tarasenko and let them take Dunn

If you are wondering what my list is...
FWD: O'Reilly, Sanford, Schenn, Perron, Blais, Thomas, Kyrou
            DEF: Krug, Faulk, Parayko
            G: Binnington

The Blues are not going to protect Blais. Knowing Armstrong (Blues GM) - he will protect Dunn over Krug if he does not make a trade before the expansion draft. Chances Seattle would take Krug are pretty unlikely.

Heh. They'd rather you take Sanford over Dunn every day of the week until the end of time.

Who is Vancouver paying a prospect and likely a high 1st and3 round pick to protect?

            Maybe to take Loui Eirkson?
