Good for him. Didn't work out for him in Ottawa, but I still believe the tools are there to be an NHL contributor. Never quite got back up to speed after a terrible leg injury, but prior to that when he played in both Belleville and Ottawa he looked like a guy with top 4 upside. Hopefully he can still right the ship, because he's a great dude and I want to see him succeed.

May as well give him a shot. If it works out, great you have another depth defender to add to the mix. If not, the kings still have a ton of guys in the pipeline - it’s not a huge loss.

More reward than risk here; by a lot. If he sputters out no loss, but he has upside to be a usable top 4 player or at the least a good 3rd pair guy if he can find his footing and consistency.

Good depth defenseman. I think he can actually maybe even play top 4 minutes with the Kings next season. He's bounced around a lot recently though, so hopefully he can finally pan out with the Kings.

2-way so he can be moved to Ontario. The only cost is that he's now 1 contract in a max of 50, but the team won't be nearing that limit so it's ~0 risk.

Nice steal. Might be worth a top 6 spot depending on how he shows at training camp. At worst be depth for you down on the farm showing the young guys what it's like being a professional. Love this show me contract. Kings have been making some very good moves as of the last almost 2 years to reshape the organization.
