I think that instead of Wennberg, Edmonton should be looking at Glendenning or Ryan. They need a right shooting centre for faceoffs. They would be cheaper, and allow for a better mix in the bottom six.

Wennberg gives rhe Oilers a chance of having a 3rd line instead of 2 4th lines again. Maybe with the right wingers Ryan can give you a year of 3C if you squint hard enough but Glendening is a 12-14F.

McDonagh has a NTC and not sure he is waiving to come to Edmonton.

You need someone who's better than 50% on the right handed draws for puck possession, which means Glendenning or Derek Ryan. Better to spend the money on a winger for McLeod (who has good FO and possession metrics) and cover the RH draw challenge, IMO.
