Kieths not coming to oilers at full cap hit, yr 1 of his deals not a problem it’s yr 2 yr where that 5.5 cap hit stands in the way of Nurses extension and JP contract which could be anywhere between 3-5 mil depending on what type of season he has, wouldn't be surprised if he hits the 30 goal mark.

Patrick had migraine issues. Reports is it's under control. still major risk. last full season he was looking like he was finding his way. He is also very good at faceoffs.

Tatar and Hoffman are both 1 year deals, along with Russell. That's $9.25M. +$2.2M for Nurse, less than $1M for either Samorukov or Broberg to replace Russell. Less than $1M for Holloway to replace Hoffman. Bennson moves up to top 9 and replaced with freeagent under $1M leaving +$4M of savings to put towards a Puljujarvi raise not to mention the $1.4M cap space still available before any moves. This should leave more than enough to upgrade the 3LW with a vetren on a cheap 1 year deal if Bennson isn't ready.

I don’t think Stalock and DeSmith are the same caliber of player. Stalock hasn’t made a NHL appearance in over 2 seasons. DeSmith was a back-up/1B goalie on a play-off division winning team last season. Stalock is 34 years old and DeSmith is 29.

I don’t know, I don’t think I’d be too happy or excited about my play-off, contending team, having a back-up that hasn’t played in an NHL game in over 2 seasons. Although his last season in 2018-19 for Minnesota was probably the best of his career.
