No sir. Trouba 8 Mil per year

Handing tampa JT Miller and Ryan McDonagh for Hajek Howden Namestnikov and picks

    Trading Zuccarello away for pennies

LOL i missed this. Every AGM from a Wild fan has some fantasy unload of the Zucc contract and you are over here complaining about the return he got?

lol and thats that from the troll account

Imagine thinking trouba is gunna be captain when we have artemi panarin, Chris Kreider, Zibanejad, and the Norris trophy winner on our team. Trouba won the Norris right? Or was a finalist in voting?

Eichel isn't going to bring back a prospect with elite upside. Teams don't trade those, for better or worse. Especially not in a flat cap. He'll probably end up playing in Buffalo next season.

Yes he will. Hes a top 10 player, at 24 years old, playing a 1C role, and is controlled in the future. You dont see top prospects traded because you dont see player like Eichel on the block. If players like Eichel were traded, you'd see those top prospects traded.

Kravtsov has way more upside than Kakko just saying.

If that is the way the FO feels, neither are being moved. NYR don't need Eichel at this time. They aren't one Eichel away from contention.

why would the Rangers pay to give Blackwell to Seattle?
Blackwell has way more value than Gauts or Howden...

it's a bit of a stretch to call Trouba a cap dump.

They're loaded on the wings but can't ever win a damn face-off. They're an elite center away from being really good. The team they had this past year had more regular season points than Montreal. We also finished behind the islanders who are getting worse next year because they'll be selling off assets to meet cap requirements. Pittsburgh is a ticking time bomb, as is boston. Both aren't getting any deeper/younger as time goes by. I think they very much need a Jack Eichel

living in the past much? McD, Miller and Zucc would have done nothing to help the rebuild, only hurt the team.

lol its an overpay for Eichel and again, no one else is actually bidding for him! All the smoke Adams trying to put out there evaporated in less than a week. Guy is damaged goods and not getting 4 1st round pieces lol.

Unless the Sabres have roster members coming back, any trade is not happening. If the Rangers desperately want Eichel, Lafrenière and Fox will be going to Buffalo.

It sounds to me like you make a case for why they don't need him. That cap hit is too high. He's not better than Mark Stone. Buffalo signed him to that deal because they had to. No thanks.

Either way you want a better return for key guys in your lineup. I was stating an infallible fact that Jeff Gorton made more bad moves than good ones. That is unequivocally true no matter what way you swing it. A blind orangutan could have drafted the same as gorton did

individual awards are prerequisites for leadership roles?
being the best player on the team also means you will be the best choice for leading that team?
i mean, look at Eichel, he was Buffalo's best player but certainly not even close to being a leader...

i wouldn't trade Fox for Eichel straight up.
i can't imagine any GM in the league would include Fox in an Eichel trade...

You could argue that trouba was our worst "regular" defenseman on the roster night in and night out last year.

Fox was certainly better than he was
So was lindgren, Miller, and most arguably smith.

Eichel remaining with the Sabres is more realistic than him being traded. He may find the long awaited success under head coach Don Granato. Under Granato's interim period, several Sabres stepped up and excelled. Keeping most of the team in place, making key adjustments, and Granato filling his staff with quality and effective coaches, the Sabres can be good enough not to dwell in the Atlanta Division basement.
