NSH will probably pass on that, the only attractive piece here for them is Amirov.

Disagree. Rielly can be useful for them and so can Kerfoot, who can replace Granlunds production if he signs elsewhere. I dont see the Leafs doing this unless there is an extension for Forsberg and Ekholm.

I guess it all depends on what NSH's intentions are moving forward. Are they tearing down? The no Reilly isn't really all that useful as they can trade Ekholm and Forsberg separately and get multiple picks and prospects combined from both deals.

If they still intend on competing, maybe Reilly is useful. But they are still trading one UFA D-man for another (yes skill levels are different) and it turns into Kerfoot and Amirov for Forsberg with retention. I don't believe that is enough.

Could be wrong, just my 2 cents.

What value are you placing on Vitek? Roughly

I think you both make good points, I guess both team's intentions with the players really hold up if the deal makes sense

If NSH trades Forsberg + Ekholm, it will be for futures to help them with a rebuild. This doesn't accomplish that, so they would reject the trade.

And just taking this trade for what it is, there just isn't enough value there for NSH - especially with NSH not receiving any compensation for retaining 50% on the Forsberg contract.

Amirov + kerfoot for Forsberg at 50% is a good move for the Preds if they want to rebuild.

No team is trading their best offensive forward for Kerfoot and thinking that's a win...

Ekholm for Rielly doesn't meet Nashville's needs. Leave us with nothing but PMD. Beyond that... extending Ekholm would be cheaper than extending Rielly. So it doesn't really help us long term either.

Won't go into the rest of it as the first part automatically makes it a no.
