Pretty decent AHL depth, which does nothing for boston right now. If the trade doesn’t make the bruins team immediately better, the trade is likely a no. Well, Sweeney might do it, but he would be really dumb to do so.

He's a year younger than DeBrusk and has played 7 games to DeBrusk 244. If he was pretty good why wouldn't you just keep him and play him where you plan to play DeBrusk?

edmonton needs somebody who can play beside mcdavid. Benson doesn't have the speed where debrusk does.

Just when you thought the DeBrusk for Bear/Kassian/Jones deals we’re bad. Now it’s Debrusk for Benson. As much as DeBrusk makes sense in EDM. EDM doesn’t make a great trade partner for Boston.
