    Merzlikins is Columbus' starting goaltender. Teams don't trade away their #1 goalie to fill a hole somewhere else when they don't have a replacement ready to step in.

    Yeah, unfortunately I suppose their plans have changed regarding their goaltending for next season. I have my doubts that either goaltender gets traded now.

    They are not adding another $10m contract unless you are taking Quick and Maata back with you. In addition, a clean bill of health for Jack. Switch Akil Thomas with Madden and maybe we think about it.

    for Healthy Jack Eichel.

    Sabres can't get a clean bill of health yet, so that is why I think they hold onto Jack until he gets one.

    Think about it, I've already talked you down to 4 assets from 5. No Byfield. That is the downfall of when your star player says he wants out. You lose a lot of leverage. Add in the fact he has a neck injury.....even less leverage.

    Way too much for Risto. He's a UFA ... and just not very good. A third in 22 seems enough.
