Seems like a pretty bad deal for Pittsburgh though

Decent value, add a 3rd or 4th and pens accept

I don't think DeSmith is the goalie for the Leafs.

Obviously it’s just a guess but IMO he would be a perfect low cost backup for Campbell. Casey has shared the net with Jarry, so it’s not like he is used to being a #1. IMO they Leafs need to take advantage of having a #1 goalie only making 1.65 this season. No need to have a backup making more than 2.5mil sitting on the bench. Plus with rumours of PITT looking at Anderson he could be available. And they have a need for a RD. If Justin can play with Muzzin, absolutely Liljegren can too.

FA options I like are kinda slim. Halak or Brossoit would be nice

I would look at Ullmark or Halak before any of the Pittsburgh options.

Oh definitely to Ullmark but I gotta think he wants to be a #1. His .936 save percentage at 5-on-5 this season ranks sixth among all NHL goalies to appear in at least 10 games. His .932 save percentage at 5-on-5 the past two seasons is fourth among all goalies to appear in at least 40 games. If I’m EDM, SJS, CHI, DET, or BUF keeping him. He is going to get paid IMO.

Halak, Dridger, Brossitt, possibly Mrazek if he is willing to take a pay cut.
