Winnipeg isn't going to trade Copp for a more expensive player, if Copp signs for 4.0 mil, the Jets keep him.

For Appleton the Jets will just let Seattle take him rather than trade him for a player they don't need and then losing another better player to Seattle.

Fair enough. I was thinking a top 6 like this would be pretty hard to beat in the playoffs if you can find a Dman or 2:
Connor-Scheifele - Wheeler
Miller - Dubois - Ehlers

Wings pass on wash pick, but would do it for a later pick

If you take out the third I'd do it. The move from 22 to 9 is worth around the 25th pick and I'd definitely take that for Eriksson's contract.

I hear what you're saying, I guess if the move is made and we get wallstedt with that pick it's absolutely worth it.

I hear ya' and that top 6 looks pretty good. If Miller had more than 2 years, or the Jets thought they had a decent shot at re-signing him, it might be a different story.

I might be being a little too cautious, because the Jets could use a guy like Miller, that's for sure. You're actually making me re-think the Miller trade a bit.

Why wouldn't Boston just try a similar trade with philly? I don't like nate Schmidt. Not physical enough.

Detroit will accept if the 3rd rounder is removed.
