Unlikely since they are within the division

Trade explanation:
KK is an established nhl centerman with proven playoff success
Drouin is a perennial 50 pt player who can play top 6
Primeau is an amazing goalie prospect to address that need
1st Rd pick for 2021
No need to add a D since they will likely draft Owen power 1st overall

This trade is possibly overkill for a player that appears to be a tad difficult.

Habs get that top end talent at C that they have been sorely lacking

Ya hey I see the canadiens being one of the better teams to trade with when it comes to an Eichel trade. ****ty thing is they are in the same division.

Was he not a healthy scratch in a do or die game 5? Doesnt seem like proven playoff success to me

Still would need to add a high level prospect/first round pick to get BUF on the phone

Even then BUF wouldnt trade Eichel in-division, probably not even in the same conference

Solid offer but I think they ask for Caufield instead of drouin. Being in the same division makes it tricky.

Yes. Maybe instead of KK and Drouin. Caufield is pure gold and Eichel still injured. Speaking of: nobody knows excactly what's the status of Drouin right now?!

However, MTL isn't trading Caufield. No way in hell.

As for Drouin, I don't think he's coming back a Habs next season. Think he's gonna either get moved or take an extended leave.
