Tarasenko and Lindholm

Created by: CMcAvoy73
Team: 2021-22 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 8, 2021
Published: Jul. 8, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This is the bruins version of rolling the dice to try to get the core group one more ring. Has the severe potential to backfire if krejci and Bergeron decline quickly. Krejci, Rask, and Hall contracts might look a smidge light, but all three of them said that their next contract wouldn’t be about money. If they know that their contracts facilitate these additions, perhaps they back up what they said. Of course, all predicated on Anaheim being willing to move lindholm in the last year of his deal. Stole the Tarasenko deal from others, as both bruins and blues fans seemed to think it was fair. His value is tough to judge given injuries.

Studnicka spends his season playing 2nd and 3rd line C/RW to give Tarasenko, Krejci, Smith, and maybe even Bergeron maintenance days to preserve health and legs.

Krejci contract: 2 million base, 1 million games played bonus, 2 million in certain point threshold bonuses. 5 million total
Rask contract: LTIR until his return in january. 1 year deal allows for performance bonuses the following year.

Don't think Lindholm is aqcuired that cheap and Tarasenko is a question mark in my book, to many surgeries on that shoulder and hasn't been the same since

A first, a second, and a good prospect is a pretty good return for a rental. Maybe it doesn’t get the Moore cap dump though.

Why is Lundqvist your starter? Shouldn't it be Swayman?

That’s certainly what i would do, but there’s actually been some credible reports that the bruins want swayman to get a full year in the AHL next season.

That's a bad idea. Swayman should be the starter with a vet goalie as his 1B

I don't think Anaheim has any choice but to accept that offer.

I would take that deal in a heartbeat. As an added bonus, John Beecher might turn out to be better than Sam Steel.

I was trying to think of a way to do it without including Beecher, mostly because in a year or two, bruins will desperately need young centers.

Hopefully that will be Beecher and if they are fortunate whomever they draft at 20.
