I’m curious to know people’s thoughts on what it will take for Seattle to absorb some of TBs cap space. The trade above seems like an overpay.

The contracts for Coleman and Goodrow will be interesting. I think Coleman will be in the $3-4M range to play middle six. Goodrow should be able to find a team willing to pay ~$2M per for solid 3rd line minutes.

Curious to know what if the rangers took on someone like Killorn and TBL also sent Ross Colton over, what would TBL want in return.

I'd love to see him with the Avs but I'm not sure they can afford what he'll ask for. Probably depends on who they decide to trade off and what they get back.

I actually think Coleman is going to command over $4M in FA for three reasons:

1. He's won two Cups, plays well in all zones, can score even in the playoffs and is hard to play against. He's sort of the ultimate 3rd liner.
2. Players get (over)PAID in FA; this goes double for guys coming off two solid playoff runs that resulted in SC wins. Coleman and his agent know this.
3. He has his Cups, he's 29 and this will likely be his last chance at a big contract. Look for a team with some space wanting to boost their cache by signing him to something in the neighborhood of 5x4.25

In any event, I can't see Tampa being able to hold onto him.

Agree 100% .. he single handily was the missing piece and gelled with Goodrow like peanut and jelly .. they so good they made Yanni Gourde look good .. who despite a real hard worker .. has limited skills .. Gourde trade value has NEVER been higher
