So very painful. Especially considering within those 4 years the team also made the playoffs after being on an 82 point pace in the regular season.

Edit: And made it to the cup finals in a year that they were on pace for 86 points.

Tampa could win couple cups more if Vasilevski keeps playing well.

Florida over Colorado in the cup finals. I know it’s a fools hope that Tampa Bay could be defeated, but sticking with my guns after disappointment worked with Washington, so who knows?

I just dont know with the goaltending. Knight is still unknown and the sample size is to small and Bobrosky at this point has become a mistake. If florida really does go with Knight/Bobrosky it could go either way (really good or 2021 Philly). But still I think as long as Tampa has god mode Vasilevskiy no team can defeat them rn not even the leafs with Matthews.

Like Colorado was probs the best chance to defeat the beast but they got knocked out in R2

Regardless the habs wouldn't have made the playoffs but did because of divisional alignment. And in the hardest division, I have a hard time seeing them in the playoffs.

No team except Tampa is a guarantee to make the playoffs in the Atlantic

I wouldn't even say Tampa is a lock, 1/3 of their forward group(at least) gone. Gourde Coleman and Goodrow are going to be pretty tough to replace, we might see a resurgence of the pre2020 "let's just score more goals than them" lightning.

The Atlantic is brutal.

My prediction. Whoever gets out of the division in the playoffs is winning the cup. RN its between a Metro team and an Atlantic team as those 2 divisions are gonna be blood baths.
