Doubtful Yzerman is looking at cap dumps, From what Kevin Allen and others are saying. That Yzerman is looking at younger long term assets. Like Vince Dunn possibly Matt Dumba. Marcus Pettersson has been mentioned Nolan Patrick and Shayne Gostisbehere Warren Foegle and Brady Skjei just to mention a few.

Why are the Islanders paying someone to take Nick Leddy?

i feel like paying a second to offload nick leddy is a massive overpay. he’s still a useful player who’s a UFA at the end of next year. in all likelihood, detroit would flip him at the deadline if they traded for him and get assets that way.
