Do teams get to give Seattle whoever they don’t want?? Is that how the expansion draft works??

Leafs fans generally don’t understand simple things.

Haha. Yes!

Honestly though, I thought that was better than proposing a trade with another team and having their fans put me on blast because "wE dOn'T nEeD tHoSe GuYs!"

Ya, cause if Seattle got to pick who they wanted, a player/players that had value to them I don’t think they would choose those 3.

Sorry you couldn't figure out for yourself that by sending them to Seattle for nothing just meant "get rid of them". I'll post my ACGMs with cartoon instructions from now on for pudding heads like you.

I think Kerfoot is going, the other two I threw in because I'm lazy and it doesn't really matter. Get'em off the team. Sheesh

Sup has value man. Engvall you are better off just burying that contract in the AHL. It can’t be a big hit. If he gets picked up by a team off waivers, then great.

I’m a Pens fan, and trade Sup to the Pens. I’m sure pens fan wouldn’t hate a DeSmith for Sup trade.

Pens organization seems set on signing a vet FA backup. I don’t totally agree. I don’t think we are gonna get better than DeSmith. Especially for the price. But looks like DeSmith is gonna get traded. We won’t keep him on the roster all season. And he won’t clear waivers at just 1.25M for 1 season. He’ll probably be traded for a mid round pick. Like a 5th or 6th most likely. Maybe a 4th if he goes to a team that is up against the cap and Pens are lucky.

I saw a trade with Sup, Hallander and a 2nd for McCann on someone’s ACGM. And that’s fair value. I hope the Pens wouldn’t do it. It’s definitely not something that makes the team better next year. But that’s good value.

Yeah, that's all fair, I was just too lazy to try and put together a trade for those guys that wouldn't get hate, since it wasn't really the point of the ACGM. Alternatively I could have just buried them.

Ya, I don’t ever see a Leafs post with Engvall’s contract just buried. It can’t be a big cap hit. Although I see a lot of Leaf fans ACGM, that have “Engvall, to anyone for anything”. Lol.

I'm not quite sure whether Morgan is a good fit for the Hawks or not, but Morgan's rental status surely isn't. Kampf has been a very solid shut down 4th liner for us and the (2) 2nd round picks probably are more valuable to a rebuilding team that won't be competing for a cup.

Just out of curiosity, how do you feel about the Hawks offseason so far?

Big overpayment for Jones both in trade value and in cap hit.

Letting Suter, Hinostoza and Kampf walk was stupid. Betting on Borgstrom, Nylander, and Guadette to replace those guys is risky given what they have/have not proven so far in the NHL. Toronto is going to love Kampf defensively and transitioning the zone.

McCabe was a good pickup.

Tyler Johnson to replace Kampf makes sense if you exclude the cap hit difference and age; take that into consideration and another bad move.

Moving Zadarov was the right thing to do.

Khaira was a dumb move but Hawks wanted a enforcer and big body so kind of get it. Much rather have Hinostroza instead.

Suter should have been kept and Strome traded.
