The Kings wouldn't trade Turcotte AND 8th overall unless its for Eichel
Devils aren't trading Wood for Risto
    Ducks said Drysdale is untouchable

To be fair, everybody has said all of their good prospects are untouchable, and if you need proof, just ask the hockey insider thats having info leaked to him by their teams gm.

Thats not saying Turcotte is untouchable, just that you don't get Turcotte and #8 for Reinhart. You'd be lucky to get one of those. And the argument that taking Quick is helping the Kings doesn't hold water because they have plenty of cap space for him and no other NHL ready goalies to take his place. As a matter of fact, they like Quick backing up Peterson.

I've seen this Turcotte/eighth-overall/Quick-for-Reinhart trade suggested more than a dozen times, and now among Sabres faithful it's taken on the status of Gospel. Guys, it's not happening. There's no reason for us to trade Quick at all, for the reasons stated by my esteemed colleague @PuckLuck_77, and even with a lengthy extension, Reinhart isnt worth two top-ten draft picks to us.

Also, Turcotte is completely undervalued on almost every trade proposal I’ve seen. He might have been Ontario’s scoring leader if he had a full season. The Kings value his upside the same way the Habs and Ducks value Caufield and Zegras respectively. The Kings just have a different plan for him and can be more patient.

Im going based on facts. The Athletic said that the Ducks labeled Drysdale and Zegras were untouchable. Another example is, Fitz (Devils GM) publicly said that Hughes, Hischier, Blackwood, Smith were the 4 untouchables

It is a fact that sam reinhart has one year left as an rfa. This was determined by rules laid out in the cba. It is a fact that gms have said that players are untouchable, however there is nothing to prove this as a fact, since they very well could move these players if the right deal came along. Gms dont have to tell the truth, its bad for business to show all of their cards, and just because the athletic says so, doesnt change that. Case in point, i agree that i dont see reinhart returning the package listed here, i just dont. If we get a first in the top 15 picks in this draft, plus a 2nd/decent forward prospect back- i think we did great. This idea that reinhart has the kind of value shocked me when i read it on the athletic a few weeks ago. It was a hockey insider that suggested it, it wasnt some random sabres fan. Personally i think if reinhart doesnt return the first plus something that i suggested, that he comes back to the sabres and gets moved for a late first in the 22 draft.
