Overpayment for Graves. Probably not enough for Dumba

why Denisenko? Has his stock dropped since being drafted? That feels high for Graves

Nutivaara is a solid Dman, scratching him for Graves seems a lateral move. Just trade Nutivaara for Graves is thats the case

Yeah that return feels about right for 2 years of Dumba given his fairly meh production recently and how much of his game hinges on that

Idk Graves is pretty dynamic and versatile

Even his pts/60 numbers are very impressive

I'd see Nutsy as a notch lower at best ultimately

Graves is not dynamic, hes just a safe Dman who really you want as your number 5, you dont want to play him up in the top 4 bc he will get exposed. Graves had the most point shots blocked last year, or it was one of the top, the guys abilities are very limited. Big shot is nice but if you cant get it through, it useless

They are similar depth Dman, Graves is a bit more physical and the bigger body. Very much interchangeable. Nutivaara kills penalties like Graves and is mobile.

This describes my eyes pretty well. He seems like he is a much more defensively sound plyer than Nuti too. I do love Nuti and think he can be swapped out some with Gudas.

Denisenko just doesn't have the space and hasn't turned into much for the Panthers lately. Plus our development tends to be trash for players.

Dumba is going to be exposed to Seattle more than likely, this allows some sort of a return rather than nothing.

Graves felt like a decent payment just due to the fact it was a prospect who hasn't done much of anything for the Panthers yet and we are trash at development

Well you are a leafs, & Nashville fan
Not to be disrespectful, or anything like that, but you are wrong about Dumba. Wild wouldn't do this deal at all. Very clearly you didn't watch wild , or pay attention to how good dumba was this year because you didn't need to as fan of another team

I'd be willing to swap out nuti for Den

Dumba isn't being exposed. Wild gm bill Guerin loves dumba, & promised him he's going to do everything to keep him Around. So with this being, no wild aren't going to say yes to this deal

I think avs would prefer Denisenko, they are in more need of wingers then Dman (have quite a few good ones coming up in the pipeline still)
If thats what the panthers were willing to trade, I can't see avs turning down Denisenko

Wouldn’t you want Lundell on the 3rd line and Accari on the 4th?

We need to re-sign forsling and keep him for ourselves
Perfect pairing with Weegar
Just trade for a top 4 defensive defenseman for Ekblad, buy out/trade yandle

I'd be willing to swap them out. I'd assume though coach Q wouldn't throw him right away on the third since he tends to shelter rookie players

Idk if my post went through, I may have screwed up and not pressed submit. But Forsling with yandle allows us to buy out Stralmann, who would be off our cap end of next year. My intention with this scenario is to allow us to resign barky/huby to large/long term contracts. I personally see Huberdeau getting a Marner-size contract and Barkov getting a Matthews size one so any bit of cap space is necessary in my eyes

Barkov gets 9.5-10, Huberdeau 8.5-9 max
Forsling is someone we need to keep, don't need to buy out stralman because he only has 1 year left, just buy out Yandle and we are good

It just doesn’t seem to make sense to put Lundell in a forechecking role. I assume he isn’t a forechecker

He is a very skilled offensive player with 2 way abilities
