Who already played for the Oilers, it didn't go well, and let him go to free agency.

I think that Lindholm is worth more than DeBrusk and a late future second.

2.20GAA and a 0.926SV% isn't bad when you have one of the worst teams in front of you. 8 games or not

It's 8 games. He'll likely regress and return to his usual form. Best-case, someone trade for a 5th but Stolarz could be on waivers next year and teams could get him for free.

Essentially every regular NHL goalie has had a similar 8 game streak. Hell I think Koskinen had a streak of similar stats from late Jan to late March when he played in between Smith starts. Doing it for a whole season is what GM's pay for.

Good point. also, forgot that he was already on the Oilers. Would go back and change this trade.

Those contracts are weird. How do Mahura and Lundeström get more than Comtois? And why didn't you sign Steel and Jones?

    Not enough for Lindholm.

Definitely not giving up Comtois for Laine.

    We're not getting a 1st for Fowler.

Not giving up a potential Top 10 1st in 2022 to get rid of Kesler's contract.

    Volkov > Grant / Heinen
    Terry > Silfvy / Grant

Id rather not move laine for comtois and a second. I like maxim but not that much. We’d be better off keeping laine and signing him long term as the teams staple and shooter on the top line. We draft centers and develop players around them.

If you’re building around laine, just move the franchise.

Instead of what trading him for a decent young top 6 forward guy who may score 50-60 points and a second. We use laine as not the main building block but a sturdy support piece for the future. You draft the core and keep laine as the naturally gifted sniper to play with those players.

    Because he isn’t good.
