The Leafs shouldn't be getting Bertuzzi. You need to give up assets when there's a whole bunch of solid mid-6 wingers (Hyman, Tatar, Saad, Coleman, Granlund, Goodrow) available in free agency.

    a team having interest in a player doesnt mean they are even actually trying to acquire. Leafs media has linked interest to a multiple of top players, doesnt mean the Leafs are even in discussions to sign or trade for them.

    Leafs have interest in McDavid doesnt mean they are trading for him

    I’m well aware… but pretty much every leafs CF I’ve seen today has us getting him, often trading way too much as well

    It was like with the Granlund stuff int he offseason, and the CJ mystery forward. Yesterday the score said the Leafs had interest in Taylor Hall.

    Guys take an inch and run a mile sometimes on this site, but its the offseason and for fun I get that.

    coleman, granlund, goodrow, gourde (rumoured to be avail, will be much cheaper), even danault will be cheaper & better options. and no assets given up.

    bertuzzi is good, but he's another middle 6 winger. if we're trading, it should be forsberg or garland.

    or Dvorak imo I think he would change the way the PP runs perfectly with his net presence.

    I wouldn't trade at all. We already blew through lots of our picks this year, don't want to lose any more. FA is the way to go
