Why you pay that much ... I know Dubois didn't played well since the trade but that move is bad ... Dubois will be a point per game guy in next 2 years

I’d rather have stammer today. But to be honest look at the age of your main players. This isn’t the year. Outside of Wheeler, everyone is 22-28. Don’t give up the youth to make it to the 2nd or 3rd round today

That's certainly something Winnipeg wouldn't even look at.

Stammer is great but I wouldn't part with that much for him, he wouldn't waive anyway.

if you put dubois with to good linemate not like winipeg this kid will get point per game ... he is a good 200foot player and this is the reason why give him offensive player he will get the defense done ... but that my tought ... i see im like a real first center but will need somme real good wings to complete is offense

Stammer is an interesting trade idea. Will he waive his NT to Winnipeg, nope, would acquiring Dubois help TB next year, yup.

If you ignore the NT aspect, would even a Dubois for Stammer trade help the Jets... in 21-22, maybe, but definitely not for $3.5M more in cap hit... that’s a #4 dman or 2/3 of a really solid top 4 D.

Dubois had a horrible year, but COVID sucks, and a lot of people struggled with isolation, developing chemistry, etc outside the NHL. It’s not like Laine played lights out!

Dubois is also quite young. He’s still developing and could make decent development gains. With a normal off season, a full training camp, he could be the player many people saw against TO in the bubble.

In 21-22, Stammer is much lower risk to be the better player, but he’ll make 60% more. By 23-24, Dubois could develop into a 1C with a great 200ft game, while Stammer will be on the back couple holes of his career.

A very interesting idea, but if I’m running the Jets, I would decline a straight up trade for Dubois. Jets would be giving up too much Medium and Long term upside and $3.5M in 21-22.
