Draft
#6 - Eklund

Not even sure what’s going on but that would be one hell of a rebuild.

The only thing I'll complain about is that you have Timmy on the roster and Seider in GR. Swap those two.

Honestly I don't think this team competes and I would prefer to have Seider be on a winning team, I'm not opposed to the swap but that's why I have them like that. Liljegren has more nhl experience as well. I think Seider will be a Calder candidate if he plays this year, I just figured no point in rushing it right now.

If WSH moves Vanecek and SLE claims another cheap, effective player, WSH has to replace both, possibly with expensive free agents. You haven't cleared WSH enough cap to sign Bernier and a replacement for Dowd, so the Caps aren't saving any money on this deal. Jensen is better than Stecher, and Hagelin is pretty decent. With no cap benefit, the Caps aren't paying a 2nd to give you last year's best rookie goalie.

TB passes Johnson isn't costing Colton and a first if that's the price he's wearing a bolt next year.
Where someone is drafted doesn't mean a thing. Ryfors is their best prospect not to play in the NHL yet. Keep your spare parts. So loosing Yanni Gourde in 16 by your standard would have been" no lose"
