Sabres should do none of that except the Okposo deal.

Risto deal is debatable. Probably no retention if paying a 2nd too.

Unretain Risto and give us Flyers 1st

Miles Wood is not worth a player and a first.

Imagine having over 17mil in two wingers named Voracek and Skinner for the next three years!

Philly has lost interest in Jones cause he doesn't want to sign an extension in Philly.

Wood = 33th overal and player with $2.7m
Wood = 14th overall and player

I think that’s a fair jump. If there were a pick in between I would have taken that.

Don't get me wrong, I like Miles Wood and would love to have him on the Sabres, but I just don't see a first round pick value on him, especially if you're throwing in someone like Ristolainen who I know isn't a top-pair defenseman, but can still be on your second powerplay, kill penalties, and be a good second-pairing guy.

What I've learned from all of posts on here is New Jersey and Buffalo fans each love Miles Wood and want him on their team, and both fanbases dislike Rasmus Ristolainen and don't want him on their team. I think we can all agree there is some middle ground where Buffalo flips Risto to Philly, Philly vastly overpays, and Buffalo can send a second or third plus a prospect to New Jersey for Wood and everyone wins.

I think it also makes sense when you consider that wood is an RFA after this deal while Risto doesn’t have team control
