That's pretty light for Eichel. I mean MIN should definitely accept and figure out a way to make the money work, but I'd imagine he requires more.

It only adds a mill, so they can add another roster player and save cap

Yeah they'd need to fill some spots, but like I said, if this is the asking price, you find a way to make it work. Would Sabres not prefer Dumba for Dewar? You could easily swap those two and this is still good for MIN, IMO.

No interest in dmen, if they can flip Dumba for a top 10 pick then they would do it

I think that the Sabres unload Eichel for a package that includes one prospect that they want to keep and develop, and a handfull of other assets that they will swap with cap constrained teams to take on their cap dumps and significant sweeteners. These new Buffalo guys are statistical analysis people, and will look to find future hidden value that others may have missed or are desperately needing the cap space and need to part with something really good.

The chances that one team has all these assets and will swap them for Jack is remote.

Probably can't flip him for a top 10 pick, but surely can flip him for something more valuable than Dewar. From just a pure valuation standpoint, Dumba carries significantly more than Dewar. But yeah if you prefer Dewar, that's definitely in the Wild's favor, I was just trying to be a bit more fair value with it.

Much as we love him thats just not the case.
If I remember correct Yzerman himself has explicitly said that anyone not named Seider, Raymond and (I think) Zadina is available.
The Minnesotta pick is 22nd, so I don't think it does the job 1 for 1, but it starts the conversation.

Not being untouchable is not the same as being put on the trading block.

Yzerman has said that he'll listen to offers but he's not looking to trade him.
