Deep Playoffs Cup Run

Created by: XSulphixX
Team: 2021-22 Edmonton Oilers
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 10, 2021
Published: Jul. 10, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This team could go far. Conor Garland looked great on a dying Arizona team, Ullmark had a surprisingly good year despite being on the Sabres and most of the other players are either good depth players or Zdeno Chara to help develop Bouch's defensive game. It might not be an immediate cup win, but after a year and with Klefbom making a full recovery and replacing Chara this team could be deadly.

Pens have no need for D.Kahun back.

He got in Sully’s doghouse, was scared of his own shadow on the ice, and took shifts off. It’s why he got in that doghouse. He’s not physical at all, doesn’t go into the corners, takes shifts off, and doesn’t play a good 200 foot-game.

I bet u couldn’t pay them to take him back. Let alone for an important, 25 year old player on their NHL roster. That moves makes the Pens a worse team today and tomorrow.

No way coyotes take that deal, 2 of them are negative value, and stalock is more useful for a backup to skirt the cap, which isn't an issue for Arizona currently.

Why buyout Neal if you're going to have $6M in unused cap space? If you don't need the cap space, why prolong that contract pain?

Ennis needs to be gone though, we have a free opportunity to let that bad experiment end so maybe he shouldn't be re-signed?

Mike Smith on 2 years? 0.o
I think year-to-year at higher cost is better, never know when the wheels will utterly fall off at the 40+ mark
