This actually isn’t horrible. You would need to fix the Vancouver trade and move Brodie to the left side. That should allow you to keep Kerfoot by not signing gologoski.

Let Hyman go and spread his money out between Goodrow + Haula or something like that.

Set Robertson up for success in a top 6 role and if it doesn’t work, we shift the lineup around a bit.

Could leave Cizikas alone and use that money to upgrade to someone better than Goligoski.

Brodie is way worse on the left side and that trade makes bo sense for the Nucks to begin with

He was perfectly fine there for the leafs.

Schmidt and Vancouver both want to part ways. Reilly is a no brainer to re sign in Vancouver.

Brodie can play on the left side but is marginally better on the right, when did he play left for you?

Vancouver really needs guys that can play defense, Rielly's defensive game is well sketchy.

Throughout the regular season periodically and when Muzzin was hurt.

Reilly is a lot better defensively than he gets credit for. Unfortunately he would be one of the best defensive players on the blueline… which is not a good thing.

Again his defensive game is sketchy. Sometimes its there sometimes its not. He makes up for it with his offensive prowess but since Vancouver has Hughes they really dont need that

He’s better than edler is now. It’s nice to have more than one puck moving defencemen and at least 2 top 4 lhd would be nice as well.

Easy no for VAN, they would much rather keep Miller. Also they don't need Rielly.

Maybe Schmidt for Rielly could work. Rielly isn't a great fit in Van though given that he is a leftie and not a great defender.

Vancouver is not trading Miller and Reilly isn't what Van needs.

Sure but loosing Miller for an upgrade on Edler seems like very poor asset management

Upgrade on edler? He’s washed. I could say the same thing about upgrading Hyman to Miller.

The trade would need something more. Maybe Rielly and Robertson.

Don't need a top 4 dman when you're trading one away?

Rielly of course isn't what the Canucks need either but maybe for Schmidt
