can we stop with the ridiculous 5OA for Reinhart now? not only is that extremely lopsided but a team who just finished fourth last in the league isnt giving up a top 5 pick for a rental

        some notes -

i overpaid the shit out of Reinhart to get him for 2 years. i doubt he will want to stay unless we are competitive next year so overpaying him for 2 years gives us a chance to show him we can compete. he will still only be 27 when that expires.

Gerbe, Dunne, Bemstrom split time between the NHL and AHL. Meyer, Fix Wolansky, and Angle could see some NHL time too.

If we arent competitive, Jenner Foligno Hoffman Robinson Elvis De Haan Lehtonen MDZ Domi and Kukan would be trade candidates, with a HARD maybe to Laine Reinhart Gavrikov and Nyquist too depending on offers

yeah i think we are 100% taking Eklund, Clarke or McTavish. Beniers is a bonafide top 3 imo

If the sabres get 3 from anaheim, we take eklund. Sabres have him as highest ranked forward

At 11 take Whalstadt, with the Loss of Kivi (Rip) and Columbus likely moving on from one of Korpisalo or Merzlinkins (I’d rather keep Merz) adding another goalie prospect would be a great idea, and he is the best one in this draft by far.

Buffalo is taking Eklund at 1. Owen Power is passively saying he doesn’t want to go to Buffalo. I also think the Jackets will get Beniers at 5. If the draft goes:

        Buffalo) William Eklund
        Seattle) Owen Power
        Anaheim) Dylan Guenther
        NJ) Luke Hughes
        CBJ) Beniers

how is Owen Power saying he would love to play for Buffalo and literally saying it would be an "honor" equate to passively saying he doesnt want to go? man, ill never get over this site making things up to push their narrative

i thought about Cossa but IMO no way jesper falls past DET, SJS, LAK and CHI

        RIP Kivi

I heard Seth 100% wants to go to free agency which will seriously hurt the return y’all get for him. No way Chicago gives up that much without an extension

Portzline also said in 2018 offseason that Bobrovsky and Panarin were very likely to be traded.

        Very wrong.

like i said he is wrong sometimes and right other times. even then theres 0 players on the market worth 5OA besides Eichel who we are apparently out on.

youre probably right but its Stan Bowman, and De Haan probably has no value.

At this point, Jackets should definitely take the best available at #5. There are so many holes to fill (F & D), it makes sense.

Mitchell, Strome, and the first have considerable value tho
